wow, time flies

By now many of you have helped celebrate my mom's 80th birthday with me. What a great time...almost 80 friends and family in attendance. The Model A car ride was a big hit and lots of fun was had by all. If I can figure out how, I will post the pics. :)
and now Marisa is back in Tucson for a new school year. Check out her design work as editor of the campus newspaper at www.dailywildcat.com .
Ben has two more weeks before school begins for him. He just turned 18 which is almost unbvelievable to me.... no wonder I am so tired! He is doing well and actually did not use the wheelchair at all yesterday for the first time. He uses the walker around the house, made 2 trips up and down the stairs inside and slept like a log for 14 hours!
God Bless your final days of summer!

Today is the first day!

The summer has been a haze of post op care for Ben and all that entails. The biggest lesson I have learned is that it DOES take a whole village ( or at least a clan) to raise a child...or in this case, to care for Ben. This, then is the result of that realization. I hope you will visit this often and open the doors for all of us to help, support and enjoy each other along the way. Blessings to you all....now if I can only figure out how to clue everyone in to the very existence of this space! Ciao!
